A bathroom or WC whose window opens less than a twentieth of its floor area needs an extract fan run from the light switch with a 20-minute overrun.
Why do town-centre Harrow flats need different electrical work?
Because so many of them heat with electricity. At the 2021 Census, 29.3% of households in Greenhill, the ward around the town centre, had electric-only central heating, more than three times the borough's 8.9%, and 69% lived in purpose-built flats.
